Mink Mink - the Butterfly
.. is a piano piece that describes the light flight of a butterfly. The delicate melody of the piano represents the butterfly, while the soft and fragile strings represent the buzzing and humming of the insects in the meadow in the background over which the butterfly flies. The title "Mink Mink" came from a sweet memory of my first-born daughter, who as a child always called butterflies "Mink Mink".
Nighttime Serenade
... is a lyrical romantic composition that combines the gentle sounds of piano, church organ, woodwinds and strings to create a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere expressing a longing for that very state of mind. With its slow tempo and gently played instruments, it evokes a sense of calm and contemplation, transporting the listener to a world of serenity.
Memories of a very fine lady
An elderly lady I had known for many years had passed away, and I was asked to play a suitable song for her funeral. Not wanting to just perform one of the usual funeral ceremony songs, I decided to come up with something myself. I wanted describe her musically as best I could, in my own way. That's how this composition came into being.
The Mystical Tree
Trees have always held a fascination for me. Especially when they are rich in years. I often try to imagine all they've experienced down through the years, and still survived. I just stand and look in awe, seeing the magnificence and beauty that is a tree. The roots of a tree radiate peace and strength, the strong trunk exudes reliability, striving upwards. Treetops, with their branches and foliage ever reaching for the sun, open ...and then my thoughts drift back down along the stem to the root system and finally, come to rest.

Ich kann der Einsamkeit die unterschiedlichsten Aspekte abgewinnen. Von Traurigkeit, Verlassenheit und Melancholie bis hin zu Frieden, Freiheit und Schönheit. Ich weiß nicht, ob es so etwas wie eine positive Melancholie oder eine schöne Traurigkeit gibt, aber diese Aspekte vereinen sich für mich oft in meiner Musik, wie in diesem Stück.
